Happy with this spider for my Oxford 10K5-1 recone. Selected it because the dimension was closest to the OEM Spider and I prefer the medium. Note that these 1″ VC spiders must be cut to fit 10K5 Oxfords, which have a 1.25″ nominal voice coil. Don’t fret, because it is easy to cut, at least for anyone who is DIY savvy enough to consider reconing a speaker. TIP: Go to the hardware store and buy a small section of straight chromed thinwall brass 1.25″ drain pipe (like for your bathroom sink). Sharpen the edge of the thinwall brass pipe using a bench grinder or stone. Voila! You now have a precise 1.25 perfectly circular cutting tool for enlarging a 1″ spider hole to fit your 1.25″ voice coils. Works great. Lasts a long time. 🙂 You’re welcome.
