Brand new production of original Altec 416-8B, 416-8C, Model 19 8 ohm DIY Recone Kit. This is new production made by GPA with original Altec tooling. This kit works for the Altec 416-8B, 416-8C, and Model 19. 15″ accordion edge smooth cone, 3 inch flat wound 8 ohm voice coil, paper dustcap with screen center, 1″ rubitex gaskets, tinsel lead and shims. Voice coil comes pre-attached to spider.
This is for the 16″ frame.
You will also need glue, epoxy, and latex which are sold separately.
***This kit will now come with the heavier cone used in the new 604-H***

Hello you all Altec lovers,just bought my recone kit for my model 19 416 -b woofer blown away by a shorted tube in an OTL amp.My first recone job , and after comparing the reconed to the 32 yo original one decided to recone the original,the improvement in reproduction was notorious..Tomorow will order and ready for my second recone job.Advice:for the small cone holes to pass the leads use a fine heated solder tip ,worked beautifull for me.

I had read on an audiophile site that the Altec 421 had the same frame as the 416. Mine are 421-8H Series II so I chose the 416-8B recone kit and it worked perfectly and made a tremendous difference.
