Description
Brand New Jensen P12PS C6632 12″ Aftermarket Recone Kit 8 ohm. Parts specifications:
- Cone: 12″ outside diameter, 3.33″ deep, 1.5″ voice coil opening
- Voice Coil: 1.518″ inside diameter, 1.375″ form length, .375″ windings width, 8 ohms
- Cup Spider: 4.152″ outside diameter, 1.5″ VC opening, .200″ cup height
- Dustcap: 1.8″ outside diameter, vintage flat dome
- Gasket: 12″ chip, 4 sector
- Whizzer cone: 4.25″ outside diameter, 1.8″ deep, 1.33″ voice coil opening
- Pigtails, shims and instructions are included.

WARNING! This kit comes with a voice coil that is 1/2″ too tall. You have to CUT THE COIL DOWN YOURSELF! (Not happy about that) Also, the wrong spider was included, it is 21/64″ tall where the original is 9/64″ tall.
I called Speaker Exchange and was pleased that they sent me the correct spider.

Update on the recone kit for the Jensen P12P. The Speaker Exchange folks work diligently (above and beyond!) to get the parts needed for my speaker. It seems that my speaker may have been a much earlier version and had to have a different spider and cone. Not only did they send the parts FREE, but the cone was a custom fit after we discussed measurements, which they guided me through. Five Stars PLUS!
Ps Just so you know, the voice coil supplied must be cut down in height, they guided me through this and it wasn’t that hard of a job.
