Pioneer 12″ HPM900 DIY Aftermarket Recone Kit. The original graphite cones are not available. Parts Specifications:
Please note: It is very important to measure your parts and compare to our measurements. The HPM900 speaker has been made several different ways, so this kit will not fit all HPM900 models. This is a difficult recone if you have not reconed before. If you prefer, you can send the speakers to us to recone for you.
- Cone: 12″ butyl rubber surround wet look paper body, 2.2″ deep, 2.5″ voice coil opening
- Voice Coil: 2.58″ inside diameter, 1.875″ VC form length, 1.0″ windings width, 8 ohms.
- Cup Spider 6.029″ wide with 2.5″ VC opening, .575 cup height (replaces original flat spider. fits inside the ledge where the flat spider would sit)
- Flat Spider 6.046″ outside diameter, 2.5″ vc opening also included. (not pictured) trim the outside lip to fit the frame
- Dustcap: Paper 3.5″ wide, dome lip up
- Gasket: re-use original
- Pigtails, shims, and instructions are included.
We send two spiders and you can use whichever one works better for your repair.
You will also need glue and epoxy which are sold separately.
If you only need to replace the foam surround that attaches the graphite cone to the speaker frame, then use the RFK128 foam kits. Note, it is very difficult to remove the original foam surround without damaging the graphite cone.

Recone kit parts are subject to availability. We try to keep most parts in stock, but some parts will require 6-10 day lead time. Specific parts and specs are subject to change but replacement parts will be matched as closely as possible.

Hi,
$38, Is it price of a pair?
I want it the same with original graphite cones. That mean that it’s same as this picture https://i.ytimg.com/vi/3DECdMV0Fnk/hqdefault.jpg
Can you help me?

The recone kits are priced individually. The description clearly states that the graphite cones are not available. If you still have your original cone, you can attempt to reuse it. You can get a foam surround and new voice coil and spider and use the graphite cone body, but I can tell you from experience, that the cones become very brittle and usually crack or break. The cone we offer is a standard paper cone that is treated. That is the only option we have for you.

Just reconed two HPM 900 woofers, model 30-758-A with your aftermarket kit. As you mentioned, this is a difficult recone job. I used the flat spider and opened up the VC opening so the cone would drop down. The other modification needed was to trim 1/8″ of the rubber surrounds so it would drop down into the recessed frame. This kit is a much better option than buying the cheap replacement woofer available online.
